Kelab Alami continues to run environmental education programmes for the youth of Mukim Tanjung Kupang. These sessions for children of both primary and secondary ages intend to train more local citizen scientists to observe, document and monitor their natural habitats. We hope to encourage them to appreciate and value the ecosystems in their backyard, and to empower them with the ability to take ownership of them, including to protect and manage them. The programmes include (but are not limited to) coastal ecosystem ecology, climate change and anthropogenic impacts on our natural habitats, habitat conservation and tourism guiding skills.
